Lawn care advertising ideas that keep running.
We read the lawn and yard service video ads running in Meta's Ad Library and looked at the ones owners kept paying for. They do the same seven things the long-running cleaning and plumbing ads do. Here they are, with an example ad you can play.
- 14 monthsA yard and junk removal company near Atlanta: "Marietta residents. Do you need junk removed?", the list of jobs, 5 stars, free estimate, Send message.
- weeks, several versionsA lawn company: "Atlanta's best kept secret revealed! Get 50% off your first lawn care application", free service calls. 27 seconds.
- a templateThe same owner script ("My name is ... How much does it cost? It depends") shows up word for word in two cities: agencies sell it. A made-for-you ad stands out next to it.
Read in November 2026 in Dallas, Phoenix and Atlanta. "Running" means the owner kept paying for it; we can't see their calls, so we treat months of spend as the sign it works.
What a lawn care business ad that lasts does.
Copy these in order and you have a 25 to 45 second ad. The sample on this page follows them beat by beat: the town, the before, the after, the owner, one price, the stars, the button, and a sung name at the end.
- Say your town first the hook"Hey [your town] homeowners! Grass getting away from you?" over the tallest, weediest yard you mowed. Every long-running ad we read named the town or the neighborhood in the first two seconds.
- Show the before and after the pictureThe overgrown yard, then the same yard striped and edged, filmed from the same corner. It is the strongest picture in every long-runner.
- Put a face and a first name on it trust"I'm Luis, from Maple Lane." The owner talking to the camera, even for ten seconds, is the other format that lasts.
- One offer, in numbers the reason to call now"50% off your first mow", "first month of weekly mowing $99", "free fall cleanup quote". One number, not a list of services.
- Stars and a count proof"5-star rated, 19+ reviews." Real numbers from your Google profile.
- One button, and it is not your website the actionGet quote, Call now or Send message. Those buttons open a form or a call inside Facebook, which is why the long-runners use them.
- A five-second name tag at the end memoryYour name said or sung twice with your number on screen. Brands with a jingle people know run five-second versions for months.
About lawn care business ads.
What should a lawn care ad say?
Your town in the first line, the overgrown yard people recognize, one offer ("50% off your first mow"), no contracts, your star rating, and Get quote. That is what long-running lawn and yard ads on Facebook have in common.
When should a lawn care business advertise?
Late winter and early spring for mowing contracts, then fall for cleanups and aeration. In November there are few lawn ads running, which makes fall cleanup and snow offers cheaper to show.
How long should a lawn care video ad be?
20 to 45 seconds: the yard before, the stripes after, one offer and a button.
How much does it cost to make a lawn care video ad?
Freelancers charge roughly $50 to $400 for a short ad, agencies more on a monthly plan. Ava Studio makes a free sample ad of your lawn business first, with one price shown with it.
